Background and Purpose of Role 

Established in 2006 Enclude is a leading Irish non-profit with a mission to provide appropriate and cost-effective I.T. consultancy services and solutions to charities. The organisation operates a number of programmes which provide charities with access to a range of donated technology offerings and also support with the adoption of cloud-based CRM (Client Relationship Management) and Financial Management solutions.

In line with its mission to reach and support more charities with its cloud-based solutions the organisation is seeking to recruit an experienced finance professional to manage the organisation's Finance function and Project Revenues. This is a senior management role with responsibility for the management of the organisation's financial operations, project revenues, risk management, governance and compliance reporting.

Financial Leadership:

  • Providing strategic financial input and guidance to the CEO and leadership team.
  • Playing a key role in the company's strategic growth and financial planning.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team by fostering a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement.


Finance Management & Reporting:

  • Managing the finance function, overseeing financial operations and financial reporting.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual draft accounts for auditors, and management of all standard processes that contribute to these functions.
  • Prepare and manage forecasts and budgets.
  • Ensure effective cash flow management.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, processes, controls, and systems to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory requirements, financial stability, and risk management.
  • Review and maintain service contracts (e.g. office, insurance)
  • Assist with the development of appropriate product and services pricing models.


Revenue Accounting:

  • Manage project finance and revenue recognition, ensuring alignment with budget targets, cashflow needs and the sustainable growth and development of the organisation.
  • Management of appropriate processes and systems, to ensure effective resource planning, forecasting and utilisation.
  • Conduct monthly project accounting review and maintain monthly schedule of deferred and accrued income, which is the basis for recognition of project income.
  • Management of AccountsIQ programme revenues and partner relationships 


Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and tax requirements.


Governance:

  • Preparation of financial packs for and attendance at bimonthly Board meetings, present financial reports (liaising with Board Finance Director in advance).
  • Act as Administrator for Banking Online Functionality.
  • Main lead with Company Auditors.
  • Participate in relevant management, staff and client meetings and support with strategic and operational developments and improvements.
  • Lead and embed the implementation of the organisation's ISO - ISMS (Information Security Management System).
  • Any other tasks, consistent with your position, as requested by the line manager.


Person Specification

Essential Requirements 

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a finance role and managing a finance function.
  • Experience in the area of deferred income accounting
  • Excellent management, planning, organisational, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must have a valid permit to work in Ireland.
  • Canvassing will disqualify.


Desirable requirements 

  • Experience in non-profit accounting & reporting.
  • Experience in AccountsIQ
  • Experience in ISO standards.

TERMS 

  • This is full time position with an initial contract period of two years.
  • Salary €65k – 75K. 
  • Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week (full-time). Flexibility may be available on working hours, subject to negotiation.
  • Hybrid working is supported
  • Annual Leave: 24 days (full-time)

Direct Reports: Finance Assistant & Office Manager, Senior Project Officer, Solutions Implementation Manager.

Liaises with functional leads: Business Development Manager, Member Services Manager, Solutions Architect.
