Reporting to: Foodiverse Community Coordinator

Contract: 1 year fixed-term contract, starting January 2026

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:30pm

Salary: €30,000 per annum

About the Job:

FoodCloud  partners with community and voluntary organisations (CVOs) across Ireland.  Our Community Partners are an incredibly innovative and diverse network,  with limited time and resources.  The role of the Community Specialist within the Community Development Team, reports to the Foodiverse Community Coordinator and plays a key role in building and supporting a strong network of CVOs signing up to FoodCloud and collecting food via our Foodiverse App and FoodCloud Hubs.

  • Support the advancement the overall Community Engagement Plan 2026-30
  • Source, engage and recruit new community partners
  • Provide an excellent customer experience and support external engagement that enables the community sector to maximize the benefit from Foodcloud
  • Increase the voice and presence of our community partner network across all internal and external communications
  • Support trials and implementation plans for regional or localised support programmes that improve community partner - donor relationships
  • Food Programme engagement 
  • Liaise with Food Safety Officer to ensure CVOs meet food safety requirements
  • Matching CVOs to the most appropriate surplus food programmes (Foodiverse or Hubs) 
  • Handover suitable CVOs to the Membership & Engagement Coordinator for Hubs option
  • Scheduling CVOs for Foodiverse donations and supporting new CVOs to set up the Foodiverse App for receiving donation notifications 
  • Provide an excellent customer experience and place engagement calls where necessary to CVOs to enable them to maximize the benefit from the FoodCloud service

Foodiverse Schedule Coordination in Salesforce;

  • Coordinating and reporting on all CVO onboarding,  new opportunities and programme exits
  • Monitor each new CVO partnership until there is a successful first scheduled donation/collection or until they have had a number of failed collections in a row
  • Manage and ensure smooth handover of CVOs to the Support Team for day to day support
  • Other Duties
  • As needed, work with other teams to progress projects that make our Foodiverse App and Hubs offerings more accessible, and to improve the consistency, variety and volume of surplus food available, to better meet community partners' needs
  • Use our CRM to:
  • Record and gather up to date information on community partners to support impact reporting
  • Track and complete cases and follow-up tasks
  • Additional duties as required per business needs including coverage for other teams in the Customer Experience Department as needed

 

Key Skills:  

  • 2+years' experience in a customer service or sales role 
  • Communication skills;
  • Excellent telephone manner, and written/oral communication skills
  • Comfort and confidence with presentation and public speaking
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and Word or Google Suite
  • Proactive approach to dealing with queries
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality work and customer interaction
  • Previous experience with CRM and similar software systems a plus
