SALARY: €85,000 - €92,000
LOCATION: The role will be based in FoodCloud's Dublin Hub in Tallaght. Flexible working arrangements available, such as working from home, in line with role requirements.
CONTRACT: Full-time, permanent (37.5 hours/week)
Background
Do you want to play a pivotal role in tackling food waste and food insecurity on a global scale? Are you a visionary fundraising leader with a passion for building powerful partnerships and driving innovative change?
FoodCloud is a non-profit social enterprise founded in 2013 to tackle food waste and food insecurity. Its mission is simple: a world where no good food goes to waste.
Driven by kindness, fairness and action, FoodCloud responds to a world facing conflict, climate change and rising costs—where wasting food is both a moral and environmental failure. Every week, it redistributes over 1.5 million meals to communities across Ireland, the UK, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Kenya.
Its impact has been recognised with the Charity of the Year Award (2022) and a Carmichael Good Governance Award (2024).
Working with retailers, food companies, non-profits, government and the wider business community, FoodCloud helps build a circular economy for food. Through surplus food redistribution, it empowers organisations, communities and individuals to thrive—creating a world that is kinder to people and the planet.
The Role
FoodCloud is now seeking an exceptional Director of Development to lead its fundraising strategy and team at a pivotal moment in the organisation's growth. With an ambitious goal to distribute one billion meals by 2030, this role offers a unique opportunity to drive transformational impact—supporting people facing food insecurity while tackling the climate crisis.
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with colleagues across Finance, Technology, Operations, Marketing & Communications and Partnerships, the Director of Development will be both strategic and hands-on. They will lead on growing and diversifying income, developing a major donor strategy, managing key partnerships, and mentoring a small, talented team. This is a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment where innovation is valued, and where the impact of your work will be tangible and far-reaching.
We are seeking a dynamic fundraising leader with a strong track record of building and leading successful teams and delivering income growth. You will bring significant experience developing and executing fundraising strategies across major donors, corporates, government, trusts, and foundations within the NGO sector. A master relationship-builder and compelling storyteller, you will be skilled at inspiring diverse stakeholders, comfortable with budgets and metrics, and motivated by the opportunity to shape and grow a vital function at the heart of FoodCloud's mission.
If you are an ambitious, collaborative, and values-driven leader ready to play a key role in FoodCloud's journey, we would love to hear from you.
