Background
Daisyhouse is dedicated to supporting vulnerable homeless women to break the cycle of homelessness and build independent, fulfilling lives. Established 35 years ago, the organisation provides safe, supported accommodation alongside personalised programmes that address the complex and interconnected issues many women face, including domestic violence, sexual abuse, addiction, health challenges, relationship breakdown, and financial instability.
Its mission is to create an Ireland where vulnerable homeless women seeking to break the cycle of homelessness are nurtured and supported to develop the skills and abilities that enable them to live independently. The vision is for women to achieve this on their own terms.
With a new strategic plan in place, Daisyhouse is entering an ambitious phase of growth that will double its housing capacity by 2027 while maintaining the highest standards of governance, client care, and stakeholder engagement.
The Role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will lead Daisyhouse in delivering on its mission and strategic objectives. This is a hands-on leadership position in a small, committed team, combining strategic planning and stakeholder engagement with day-to-day operational oversight. The CEO will manage five direct reports, oversee the organisation's annual budget, and work closely with statutory funders, corporate partners, major donors, and the Board.
The ideal candidate will bring significant senior management experience within the community and voluntary sector, preferably in homelessness or addiction services, alongside a relevant third-level qualification. They will have strong knowledge of governance best practices, social housing policy, and regulatory frameworks, as well as proven capability in strategic planning, financial management, and securing funding. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are essential, as are empathy, integrity, and a commitment to Daisyhouse's mission. An understanding of property development and housing management processes would be an advantage.
If you're an experienced leader, skilled in steering organisations to success with proven experience in strategy and operational leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
