POSITION SUMMARY:

We're looking for a creative and passionate social media officer.

Reporting to the Digital Content Coordinator, this role is for someone who lives and breathes social media and continually keeps up to date with all current social trends. You are fully aware of how fast social media changes and thrive on this.

Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of social media management, you will have proven experience in content development, performance analysis, research and audience insights.

You will work with colleagues and volunteers across the organisation to demonstrate to maximise our reach and influence in line with our organisation strategy objectives.

This is a collaborative, creative and hands on role.

 

Working within the digital team, you'll know how best to deliver social media content that supports, educates and encourages our audiences.

This is a full-time, permanent role, subject to the successful completion of the probationary period.

 

Who we are

Jigsaw is Ireland's leading youth mental charity and is committed to advancing young people's mental health and to developing supportive communities by providing a range of primary care services and supports across the Republic of Ireland.

With the support of the HSE (Mental Health), the Sláintecare Integration Fund and a range of public, private and community and individual funders, we deliver a suite of free primary care mental health services and supports for young people and adults including:

  • delivering free, one-to-one, primary care therapeutic sessions with young people (aged 12-25)
  • offering community-based programmes aimed at better informing, supporting, educating and empowering young people and those around them, in places where they live, learn, work and play
  • undertaking pioneering research and robust evaluation leading to transformative evidence
  • providing a wide range of e-mental health supports through jigsaw.ie
  • rolling out a comprehensive secondary schools programme (One Good School™) aimed at supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people by developing a shared responsibility for mental health across the whole school community.

Jigsaw offer a listening ear, and give expert mental health advice and support to young people. They provide families, teachers, and those who support young people ways to cope and the skills to be there for young people.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development of the social media calendar across all Jigsaw accounts including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube
  • Manage the social communications and campaigns calendar for all internal activity for fundraising, recruitment, advocacy and support in line with Jigsaw's brand and tone of voice guidelines
  • Work with digital and communications team to create relevant and engaging content fit for each channel
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and volunteers to maximise the impact and reach of our social media strategy and content
  • Identify new channels and formats to reach our target audience and activate campaigns in line with our new org strategy
  • Brainstorming ideas and coming up with innovative, content ideas for campaigns across organic social in line with organisation strategy objectives
  • Working with internal teams to develop and implement social media plan in line with our organisation strategy pillars
  • Keep up to date on the latest social media trends, sharing insights with the wider team
  • Report on results from each campaign, recording learnings and apply opportunities for improvement in future
  • Monitoring all posts and comments across Jigsaw's social media platforms, responding, and escalating where appropriate.

Requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Creative with an eye for design and excellent copywriting skills and strong attention to detail
  • Highly ambitious, with a desire to grow Jigsaw's social media channels through compelling content and messaging
  • Experienced in a similar role with demonstrable skills in developing creative, multi-channel social campaigns
  • Able to think strategically and identify ways to improve the reach and impact of Jigsaw's messaging
  • Collaborative and an excellent team player
  • Organised with the ability to plan effectively and excellent time management skills
  • Able to adapt and work independently
  • Thrives in an ever-changing internal and external environment
  • Passionate about supporting young people and achieving change in Irish society

Desirable:

  • Strong video editing
  • A relevant 3rd level qualification
  • An understanding of usability and accessibility
  • Proficient in presenting and public speaking
  • Full, clean driving license.

Benefits

The salary range for Officers is €30,000 - €40,000, commensurate with skills & experience.
