Barnardos was established in Ireland in 1962 and is Ireland's leading children's charity. The Communications team works with all teams across Barnardos to co-ordinate all external communications – media, digital and campaigns. We manage Barnardos Press Office, PR and media relations. We are Barnardos voice online. We work to build Barnardos brand and increase awareness and understanding of Barnardos work with children and families. We aim to increase understanding and awareness of Barnardos work with children and families, to engage and grow support for Barnardos fundraising and advocacy activities and to maintain and protect Barnardos good reputation. Supporting the Communications team with the updating and development of www.barnardos.ie. Supporting the team with administrative tasks. Supporting the Digital Executive with digital communications, scheduling and campaigns, including content creation in line with brand standards, testing, moderation, and reporting. The team consists of a Communications Manager, a Communications Executive, a Digital Executive and The Digital Communications Assistant Post: Digital Communications Assistant Location: National Office, Christchurch Square, Dublin 8 Responsible to: Communications Manager Works with: Internal and External Stakeholders Supporting the Communications team with the updating and development of www.barnardos.ie. Supporting the team with administrative tasks. Supporting the Digital Executive with digital communications, scheduling and campaigns, including content creation in line with brand standards, testing, moderation, and reporting. The post-holder is initially assigned to work in the National Office, Dublin 8 and hybrid working but may be required in the future to work in other locations in the Dublin area in line with Organisational needs.
