Trinity Development & Alumni (TDA) leads on alumni engagement and fundraising for Trinity College Dublin, Ireland's highest ranked university. We are recruiting an experienced and driven Fundraising Officer to increase Mid-Level and Legacy Giving in support of the university's philanthropic goals.
As the Fundraising Officer you will work with colleagues in the Alumni Giving team, currently a team of five, to deliver multi-channel appeal programmes to develop Mid-Level (€1k - €10k) and Legacy Giving programmes and increase the numbers of mid-level gifts and legacy pledges.
The responsibilities specified below are not intended to be exclusive or restrictive and flexibility in the allocation of specific duties will be required. As Fundraising Officer, you will be:
1. Manage the planning, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a portfolio of Mid-Level donors (€1k - €10k), maximising income through enhanced communications with donors.
2. Execute the Legacy Giving Programme with a focus on marketing, portfolio management and stewardship and by embedding messaging in all TDA activities.
3. Support the Alumni Giving Manager with the execution of the donor journey strategy for retention and acquisition of gifts.
4. Develop cases for support, drafting donor proposals and developing donor impact reports.
5. Work closely with colleagues in the Alumni Giving and Finance team to ensure timely acknowledgement and recording of mid-level donations, managing all related stewardship materials.
6. Monitor, analyse and report on KPIs as set out for each programme.
7. Collaborate with the Major Giving team to on donor pipeline growth and prospect research.
8. Work with colleagues across TDA to identify opportunities to develop the donor relationship.
9. Undertake other duties as may be assigned by the Alumni Giving Manager or by the Associate Director of Regular & Legacy Giving.
Qualifications and Experience
· Third level qualification.
· A minimum of three years in direct-marketing or a fundraising role.
· Excellent computer skills - MS Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
· Experience working with bespoke databases/customer relationship management (CRM) systems is desirable.
· Project management experience is desirable.
· Knowledge of third level institutions and/or fundraising sector.

· Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to foster food relationship with colleagues and other stakeholders.
· Confident manner be it engaging by phone or face to face, with an ability to interact with ease with donors, students, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills with a very keen eye for detail.
· Motivated, flexible and able to use own initiative in a fast-paced environment with changing directives and challenging deadlines.
· Proven problem-solving and process improvement abilities.
· Diligent, highly organised and experience of structuring workload and timelines.
· Understanding of, and passion for, the role and value of a university in society.
