Fiona Barry is a management consultant and facilitator supporting not-for-profits with strategy, service reviews, Theory of Change, and team facilitation—driving values-led, impact-focused outcomes through creative, collaborative approaches.

Having worked since the early 1990s across the community and voluntary sector as a Social Care Practitioner, primarily at Senior Executive Level, Fiona has been self-employed as a management consultant and facilitator for the not-for-profit sector since September 2021. Focused on collaborative working with stakeholders including service users to develop strong purpose driven, values based, impact driven outcomes in service delivery. Services include:

Strategy

Working collaboratively and creatively with wide range of not-for-profit organisations to deliver comprehensive strategic plans which include strategic plans for publishing, high-level strategic framework and in-depth implementation plans.

Service Reviews and Evaluations

Working with organisations in relation to quality service provision to deliver maximum social impact and support alignment with national frameworks and compliance with statutory requirements including Service Level Arrangements. governance and compliance with CRA and AHBRA and identification of potential funding options.

Theory of Change

Supporting organisations to develop their Theory of Change, engaging with service users and organisations to create a compelling story of the organisations’ work.

Facilitation

Facilitating teams on wide range of subject discussions from effective team work to problem solving.

Creative approaches are incorporated into all sessions as appropriate to engage hard to reach groups, young people, people with intellectual disabilities and those who may not usually participate. Trained as a facilitator in LEGO®️Serious Play methodology.

Fiona is also a mentor in the CEO mentorship programme with the Carmicheal Centre, an assessor with Community Foundation Ireland, and a Non-Executive Board Member with Anew Support Services where she chairs their strategy sub-committee.
