Catriona Hogan has over twenty years’ experience of working in the not for profit sector and has managed local, regional and national organisations. A graduate of UCC, University of Pisa and School of Philanthropy Indiana University, Catriona has reported to Boards as a charity staff member and provided professional advice to Boards nationally and internationally.
In 2018 Catriona completed a review of the Good Practice Certificate course for Charities Institute Ireland. In 2017 she wrote in collaboration with legal firm Mason Hayes and Curran the Charities Institute Ireland Fundraising Codes of Good Practice. She was also one of the members of the implementation group for the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising – co-ordinated by ICTR.
Catriona provides professional advice and training to charities on all aspects of governance, compliance (in particular with Charity Regulator requirements and applications), regulation, strategy and fundraising. Catriona regularly speaks at conferences and seminars on areas of best practice, governance and compliance in the charity sector.
Catriona believes passionately in the not for profit sector in Ireland and embraces and welcomes transparency, accountability and good practice in the sector. In the past she has been a Board member of Suicide or Survive, a volunteer with the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and a committee member of Cork Chamber of Commerce. She currently sits on a number of governance and risk committees for charities as an external advisor.
